The verdict in 75 words
Casumo Services Limited holds MGA/CRP/217/2012 (Type 1+2, verified active on the Malta register) plus DGOJ Spain (since 1 April 2021), Spelinspektionen Sweden, AGCO Ontario, and Spillemyndigheden Denmark. Casumo voluntarily surrendered all UK Gambling Commission licences on 3 November 2023 after two UK fines totalling £11.85 million (£5.85m in 2018, £6m in 2021). UK customers are now geoblocked. No crypto. Casino-only product. Yes for non-UK European-regulated-market players who value gamified UX. This review follows our casino-testing methodology.

We verified MGA/CRP/217/2012 on the MGA Licensee Register (Casumo Services Limited / Keep Limited, Type 1+2 active), confirmed the UK licence surrender on 3 November 2023 on the UKGC public register for account 39265, and read the official UKGC press release plus trade-press reporting (iGB, EGR Intel) for the 2018 and 2021 fine specifics. DGOJ Spain registration confirmed effective 1 April 2021. AGCO Ontario registration confirmed via the iGaming Ontario operator list. No Have I Been Pwned breach record.
Licensing: the UK exit is the dominant fact
Casumo Services Limited (Malta C91599, also registered as Keep Limited in some MGA filings) holds the corporate MGA licence and runs the operator product across MGA-served ROW, plus separate locally licensed surfaces for Sweden, Spain, Denmark, and Ontario. The single most important entry on the register: the UK Gambling Commission account 39265 shows all three licensed activities (Casino Remote, General Betting Standard Real Event, General Betting Standard Virtual Event) surrendered on 3 November 2023.

The UK exit context. Casumo received two UKGC fines that together preceded the surrender. The 2018 £5.85 million fine covered AML and social responsibility failings. The March 2021 £6 million fine was substantially worse: specific cases documented by the UKGC press release included one player who lost £1.1 million over three years without any responsible-gambling interaction, another who lost £89,000 in a 5-hour period, another £76,000 in 7 months, another £65,000 in 30 days, and another £59,000 in 90 minutes. AML failings included insufficient source-of-funds checks where the operator accepted payslips and invoices without bank-statement corroboration. The 2021 fine carried an independent-auditor mandate and a Licence Condition 12.1.1 breach finding.
Two and a half years later, on 3 November 2023, Casumo voluntarily surrendered all UK licences. Casumo continues to operate in Spain, Sweden, Ontario, Denmark, and the MGA ROW territories. The UK customer balances were repatriated; UK traffic now sees a geoblock with no casumo.co.uk product.
Casumo Services Limited (alternate name "Keep Limited" in some MGA filings) registers at The Unicorn Centre, Triq il-Uqija, Swieqi, Malta. Casumo was founded in 2012 by Kim Larsen, Oscar Simonsson, Bill Friedman, Benjamin Thomas Vincenti, and Ted Steen; a Swedish/Maltese founding team. CEO is Francesco Postiglione. Parent Casumo Holding plc is private; disclosed shareholders include BERAGENA LIMITED, CARAMERA AB, CASUMO MEDIA LIMITED, and GIGA HOLDINGS LIMITED.
The Apple App Store developer for the "Casumo Casino" app is "Casumo Services Limited," cross-confirming the operator entity via Apple's identity verification.
The welcome bonus, and the math that matters
The ROW MGA-surface casino-track headline runs 100% match up to €300 plus 20 to 200 free spins on the first deposit (the free-spin count varies by promotional cycle). Minimum qualifying deposit €10. Wagering attaches at 30× on bonus. Validity 30 days from activation.

The worked math: €100 deposit + €100 bonus = €200 balance, with €100 × 30 = €3,000 turnover before bonus winnings clear to cash. The 30× rate is slightly more player-friendly than the 35× standard across most of our reviewed pool. At a €1 average spin that is 3,000 spins inside 30 days, about 100 spins per day.
The Spanish surface (casumo.com/es) follows DGOJ Royal Decree 958/2020 rules: no welcome bonus to first-time customers, promotions available only after 30 days of account history. The Swedish surface follows Spelpaus framework: one welcome bonus per operator per customer. The Ontario surface follows AGCO advertising rules: no aggressive welcome-bonus marketing permitted. The pattern across all regulated surfaces is the familiar one: smaller headline values than offshore Curaçao competitors, with regulator-mandated transparency.
Payments are fiat-only, locale-specific, no crypto
Standard rails: Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller, Trustly Pay-N-Play (Sweden and Finland), bank wire, Paysafecard. Local rails per surface: Swish for Sweden, Interac for Ontario, Bizum for Spain. No cryptocurrency. Minimum deposit €10. E-wallet withdrawals typically inside 24 hours, cards 1 to 3 business days, Trustly real-time in Sweden and Finland.
Withdrawal reality: cleaner than the historical UK record might suggest
The MGA ROW surface and the Ontario surface both report Trustpilot signals in the mixed-positive range. Spanish Bizum and Swedish Trustly rails clear in real time or near-real time. Casumo's post-UK-surrender investment has gone into the Ontario and continental EU surfaces, which now run with tighter KYC enforcement (informed by the UKGC 2021 findings about insufficient source-of-funds checks).
Post-UK-exit, the operator has incorporated stricter source-of-funds documentation on the MGA surface that mirrors the standards the UKGC was demanding. Players who deposit above an internal threshold (which Casumo does not publish) receive bank-statement requests rather than the previously accepted payslips-only basis.
The same-method rule applies. First withdrawal returns to the deposit method on every surface.
KYC: registration-time mandatory in regulated markets
Spelinspektionen Sweden requires BankID identity verification at registration. DGOJ Spain requires Spanish DNI cross-check against the RGIAJ national gambling self-exclusion register. Spillemyndigheden Denmark requires MitID. AGCO Ontario requires Ontario-resident ID verification at registration. On the international .com (MGA) surface, KYC triggers at the first withdrawal request rather than at registration, with standard documents: government ID, proof of address dated within 90 days, selfie. Enhanced source-of-funds documentation kicks in above an internal threshold that Casumo does not publish; the post-2021 UKGC fine adjustment to those thresholds is now standard practice across the operator's surfaces.

Games and providers: maximalist library with adventure gamification
Approximately 4,000 titles on the ROW MGA surface; the largest library in our reviewed European pool, exceeded only by some offshore aggregators. Ontario surface runs approximately 2,000 titles per Casumo's self-disclosure. Major studios: NetEnt, Microgaming, Play'n GO, Pragmatic Play, Yggdrasil, Evolution (live), Red Tiger, Big Time Gaming, NoLimit City, Push Gaming, ELK Studios, Quickspin, Hacksaw Gaming, Thunderkick, Relax Gaming. Strong tier-one European slot focus. Live casino is Evolution-led with Pragmatic Play Live as a secondary provider.
The Casumo gamification layer is the brand's structural identity. Players level up an "adventurer" avatar through gameplay, unlock badges, and earn trophies that translate into bonus credits and free spins. The gamification UX is the most polished mobile-first implementation in our reviewed pool and remains the brand's distinctive product feature. There is no sportsbook: Casumo is casino-only on most surfaces (the UK sportsbook licence was also surrendered in 2023). Players who want sportsbook plus casino in one account should look elsewhere.
Mobile: native apps, gamification-led UX
The iOS App Store lists the "Casumo Casino" app under developer Casumo Services Limited. Apple verifies developer identity. Android distribution through Google Play in regulated markets; APK direct-download for some MGA-served GEOs. Mobile web is a full responsive PWA, with the gamification UI optimised for touch.
Complaints and reputation: the historical UK pattern, plus the recent surrender
Five data layers on Casumo.
UKGC United Kingdom — £5.85 million fine, 2018. AML and social responsibility failings on the Casumo Services Limited UK licence.
UKGC United Kingdom — £6 million fine, March 2021. AML and social responsibility failings, with specific player-harm cases documented in the regulator press release: one player losing £1.1 million over three years without any responsible-gambling interaction, plus four additional cases of five-figure losses inside hours or weeks. Independent-auditor mandate and Licence Condition 12.1.1 breach finding.
UK licence surrender, 3 November 2023. Casumo voluntarily surrendered all three UK licensed activities. UK customers are now geoblocked. Interpret the surrender as the brand concluding UK regulated cost-of-compliance and ongoing affordability-check requirements made the market uneconomic. Casumo redirected resource to Ontario and continental EU.
Casinomeister Warnings forum: not listed. Have I Been Pwned: no breach record. MGA enforcement: no current public sanction notice against Casumo Services Limited / Keep Limited.
Trustpilot: mixed-to-positive on the ROW MGA surface and the Ontario surface post-UK exit. Pre-surrender UK Trustpilot signals were materially worse.
What works and what does not
Pros
- MGA/CRP/217/2012 verified (Casumo Services Limited / Keep Limited, Type 1+2 active) plus DGOJ Spain (since 1 April 2021), Spelinspektionen Sweden, AGCO Ontario (one of few brands in our pool live in Canada's only regulated province), Spillemyndigheden Denmark
- 30× wagering on the welcome bonus is slightly more player-friendly than the 35× standard across the reviewed pool
- ~4,000 game library on the ROW surface is the largest in our reviewed European pool; tier-one European studio lineup with strong NoLimit City, Hacksaw, and Push representation
- Gamification UX — Casumo's adventurer-progression layer is structurally the most polished in our pool and remains the brand's signature product feature
- Apple App Store developer "Casumo Services Limited" cross-confirms the MGA operator entity
- Founded 2012 with named founders, ~14-year operating history, distinctive brand identity
Cons
- All UKGC licences voluntarily surrendered 3 November 2023 after two UK fines totalling £11.85 million; UK customers are now geoblocked. This is a significant negative for any UK-resident reader
- Two historical UK fines documenting severe player-harm patterns — the March 2021 case included one player losing £1.1 million over three years without any responsible-gambling intervention; while the UK product is gone, the historical record matters for reputation assessment
- No France, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium on the.com surface — locally regulated markets where Casumo does not hold a separate licence
- No cryptocurrency rails anywhere in the regulated portfolio
- No sportsbook. Casumo is casino-only; sportsbook customers must look elsewhere
- Pattern of UK affordability-check exits is industry-wide, but Casumo's specific 2018-2021 enforcement record suggests the UK exit was not purely commercial. It followed sustained regulator scrutiny
Verdict: who Casumo is for, and who should pass
For: Spanish residents on casumo.com/es. Swedish residents on casumo.com/sv. Ontario residents on the AGCO-licensed surface (Casumo is one of only a few brands in our pool live in Ontario). Danish residents on the Spillemyndigheden surface. Finnish, Irish, and other MGA-ROW-served EU residents not in the Casumo restricted-territory list. Anyone who specifically wants the gamified adventurer-progression UX and the maximalist game library.
Against: all UK residents (Casumo is no longer available; surrendered all licences 3 November 2023). Crypto-native players. US, French, Italian, Dutch, Belgian, Greek, Bulgarian residents (restricted on.com). Players who want sportsbook plus casino in one account. Players who weigh the 2018 + 2021 UKGC enforcement record heavily and prefer brands with cleaner historical regulator-compliance signals.
If your priority is Ontario coverage or a maximalist game library on the MGA ROW surface, Casumo is competitive. If you are a UK resident, this brand is not currently available to you regardless of preference.
